California

Those places have been imprinted in my venturing heart.

Location: Garrapata State Park, California

I went to California this month for 10 days. Honestly, my trip hasn’t even scratched the surface of all the things I want to do and see here. I know for a fact I will be venturing out here more often in the future. However, there’s a few reasons I do love this state.

One: My parents first moved here from Mexico in search of better job opportunities. My parents always spoke to me about California growing up and it had sparkled my interest in going to explore those places they went to.

Two: I was born in Santa Ana in Southern California. Although I have no family here, I made friends in my life that live there. It’s a blessing to see this city through their eyes, especially where to eat the best tacos. 🙂

Three: Who doesn’t want to visit California? There’s Venice beach, the Hollywood sign, Beverly Hills, celebrity sightings if you’re truly looking, etc. This state has it all!

This is my second trip out here and this time around I didn’t plan much of an itinerary because some of the best trips are the ones unplanned. At least the minor details. I did have a couple of places I wanted to visit or revisit.

I did want to eat at In n Out again, and revisited the Hollywood Walk of Fame  because anything for Selena! 😉

Yet, I also ended up in Chinatown, checked out the The Last Bookstore, made a beach day trip with friends and also with my NorCal familia, and drove through Hwy 1 along the pacific coast with my cousins.

California is vibrant and scenic beyond measure. I’m growing to love this state with each trip I take and with each place I visit there. Those places have been imprinted in my venturing heart. I’m California dreamin’ always.
